What is conscious parenting?
Discover how to achieve calm parenting. Learn how to respond rather than react to your child(ren). Understand why self-compassion is unselfish. Incorporate calm strategies into your daily routine.
This is a non-prescriptive, explorative workshop during which we will explore the theory of Mindfulness and what it contributes to parenting. We will investigate how to implement unconditional love without losing sight of our parenting role and responsibilities as well as the crucial importance of self-care and how it fortifies our parenting capabilities. An opening and closing meditation will complement your practice. Come alone or with your parenting partner. Either way, the aim is to leave the workshop relaxed and energised to take whatever our little (or big!) ones throw at us.
As the mother of 4 kids aged 6-16 – 3 of which have Special Educational Needs – I have at times struggled to know where to turn when life threw curve balls. Through my emerging business, Parent Love, I offer bespoke, parent driven solutions and strategies to individuals, families and couples seeking support as they face the challenges of raising the future. My struggles do not need to be those of others.
Passionate about parenting, I’ve devoted the last 17 years to full time caring while studying child psychology, meditation, mindfulness and personal development. I am not a psychologist, more a voice of calm and experience to guide you through the stormy bits. I approach my support and suggestions light heartedly with a thoughtful, calm and loving tone. This isn’t fluffy – bringing up kids is not fluffy! – I’m driven by the belief that parents often underestimate the significance of themselves and their love for their kids. I can help you to look within, believe in your own parenting style and convictions to be able to parent from your heart. Parent Love.
