Should your preliminary application will be successful, we will invite you for an informal interview to finalize the application. Details on payment and course materials will be given to you upon acceptance.

What is Dynamic Body?

Dynamic Body is a complete body workout, conditioning the body by drawing on techniques and principles from Ballet and Contemporary dance, Yoga and Pilates. Sadhana’s Dynamic Body classes are designed to strengthen, lengthen and increase range of movement in the entire body. Expect to work your core muscles, increase strength, stability and flexibility, and overall, enhance body awareness and range of motion. The classes culminate with deep stretches to encourage the body to open and release any lasting tension.

Delivered over 4 days from 14th – 17th January 2019 (9.30am-5.30pm each day).

On successful completion of the course you will receive a Sadhana’s Yoga & Wellbeing certificate to teach Dynamic Body.

During the training, we will delve into the key principles and class design; there will be an emphasis on exploring techniques from Contemporary Dance and Ballet and how we combine those with the use of Yoga and Pilates methods. You will be guided through body awareness improvisations to explore movement and body mechanics and how to find the use of tension and release in the body to support the methods used in class.

We will look at and refine what makes a Dynamic Body class different to any other fitness class, how and why we structure the classes the way we do, the power of music to transform energy, the importance of anatomical understanding in relation to the movement we use and how the use of language and voice can completely change and enhance the experience our student’s receive. We will work as a team; in pairs and individually, you will receive one to one feedback during the training and on-going support.

After the training you can expect to leave with:

  • New, in depth and refreshing knowledge and approaches to movement transferable to any movement practice
  • The skill to teach a unique, strong and consistent movement class, seamlessly complimenting the teaching and learning of traditional Yoga practises
  • Post- training, continuous support will be provided by Letitia, with the possibility of updates, variations and team refresher trainings.

We want Dynamic Body classes to continue to be of the highest quality, increasing in it’s success at Sadhana and for our teachers to expand and evolve their teaching using a carefully designed, holistic method, already loved by students all around London!

Required reading and course work:

You are required to read and write a summary (approximately 300 words) on thefollowing 3 books (*please bring a printed version of your summaries to our first training day.

1.The Bhagavad Gita (Easwaran’s Classics of Indian Spirituality) by Eknath Easwaran.

2.Light on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by B.K.S Iyengar.

3.The Yoga of Discipline by Gurumayi Chidvilasananda.

Founder of Dynamic Body, Letitia Wilkinson, has a deep understanding of the body in motion, as a professional Contemporary dancer, she has explored many movement methods including release techniques, Pilate’s, Feldenkrais, Klein technique and body conditioning. These techniques informed and inspired the design of the Dynamic Body classes, integrating multiple movement methods to offer a unique class accessible to all levels. Functionality of movement is at the core of the classes, creating strong lean muscles that will support you in and out of the studio!
